Sammy Guevara Rules Out Don Callis Family Reunion

AEW

AEW star and current ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara recently discussed Kyle Fletcher’s integration into The Don Callis Family, suggesting Fletcher benefited from Guevara’s own injury, and firmly stated he has no plans to rejoin the faction himself.

Speaking with Bill Apter, Guevara said of Fletcher stepping into a prominent spot with the group: “I think it helped him. I think ultimately, what happened around the same time is I got hurt, and he had stepped in that spot. I think especially because he just came in the company, it was a perfect spot for him, a great spot for him to go and be having these competitive matches. Have Don be the heater. I think it was just a perfect combination.”

When asked if he would ever return to The Don Callis Family, Guevara was definitive: “Honestly, no, I just think that’d be going backwards for me. It didn’t work out… There’s a reason you guys are not together anymore. There’s a reason me and Don Callis are not together anymore. So I’m not in the family anymore. So let’s just go and cross that bridge, say it’s done, and move on.” Guevara was previously aligned with Don Callis before a storyline split.
