Report Debunks Rumor Of AEW Star Leaving For WWE

A new report from Fightful Select has refuted recent claims made by former WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman that Dr. Britt Baker was leaving AEW to sign with WWE. Coachman had stated on his “Behind The Turnbuckle” podcast that Baker was “gone from AEW” and “this close to signing with WWE.”

However, Fightful confirmed that Baker has not left AEW. She is still under a long-term, five-year contract that she signed with the promotion in late 2021.

The report also cites a WWE source who was reached for comment. The source noted that while Baker has always been a welcome visitor at WWE shows in the past, the company has not had any discussions about bringing her in in recent years.

Baker has been absent from AEW television since November 2024. While there is no word on creative plans for her return, all available information indicates that she remains with AEW for the foreseeable future.
