Report: AEW Created Two Sets Of Unused Tag Team Titles

AEW

A report from Bodyslam.net states that AEW created two different sets of tag team championships within the last year that are currently “sitting on the shelf.”

According to the report, one set of titles are the “Inter-Generational Tag Team Championships,” intended for “father & son” pairings. This reportedly led to increased television focus on Christian Cage and Nick Wayne, as well as Billy Gunn with The Acclaimed. There were also said to be plans for actual father-son teams like Ricky and Kerry Morton.

The second set of titles created were AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships. Both sets of belts have allegedly been made for a year but remain unused.
