Backstage Reaction To WWE Late Night Special Announcement

WWE has announced a new event, “WWE Late Night,” set to take place during SummerSlam weekend, hosted by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. The show will be a live stage event on Saturday, August 2, in Englewood, New Jersey, following the first night of SummerSlam. It will feature comedians, entertainers, and unannounced WWE talent.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the backstage reaction to the announcement was mostly muted. One WWE talent was said to have quipped, “At least it’s not another roast,” a reference to The Roast of WrestleMania event that Hinchcliffe also hosted back in April.
