Adam Copeland Reflects On 33-Year Career, Says It “Won’t Last A Lot Longer”

AEW

Adam “Edge” Copeland, currently on hiatus from AEW television, has shared a heartfelt message with his fans, reflecting on his 33-year journey in professional wrestling and hinting that the end of his in-ring career is approaching.

In a post on his Instagram account, the WWE Hall of Famer acknowledged the anniversary of his debut, which took place on Canada Day, 33 years ago.

“On Canada Day 33 yrs ago I made my wrestling debut. In Oakland Raiders Zubaz and a pair of Converse. Nowhere to go but up,” Cope wrote. “Since then, I’ve travelled the world. Literally. Everywhere you can think of. From Moose Landing to Monterrey, from Bloodvein to Bucharest. It’s been a long, fruitful, soul expanding, soul diminishing, amazing, frustrating, exhausting, exhilarating journey over 3 decades.”

He expressed his gratitude to the fans for their support and acknowledged that his time in the ring is winding down.

“The best part? I hear every one of you when I blast out of that entranceway and sing Metalingus at the top of your lungs. It’s never been lost on me what a privilege that is… It won’t last a lot longer so I’m gonna soak in every second. Thank you for coming along on this ride with me.”

Cope has been off AEW television since the April 6th episode, where he was turned on by his former partners, FTR. There is currently no confirmed timetable for his return to the ring.
