AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm had their final face-to-face confrontation on AEW Dynamite before their title match at All In: Texas.
The segment saw both women trade sharp, personal insults. Storm, after making her way to the ring, dismissed Moné’s confidence. “You speak in catchphrases. You have the authenticity of a spraytan in a rainstorm. You have the emotional depth of a kiddie pool. You’re also a fraud,” Storm stated. She claimed that while Moné uses titles as masks, she found her true self in the AEW Women’s Championship.
Moné fired back, stating that while they have walked similar paths, they are nothing alike. “I will always be better than you,” Mercedes said. “I’ve been to hell and back and I made the devil my bitch. The more these people hate me, the more that I win. No one is going to stop the Moné train.”
The promo ended with Storm delivering one final verbal shot. “You will go down as the woman who just couldn’t win the big one,” she said, before ducking a strike from Moné and attempting her finisher. Moné escaped the ring, leaving the final physical confrontation for their match this Saturday.
