Dustin Rhodes will be staying with All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future, officially putting an end to speculation that he might consider a return to WWE.
A new article from the Dallas Morning News, highlighting the Rhodes family’s history in Texas ahead of this weekend’s events, has confirmed that the veteran has signed a new six-year contract with AEW. The deal was reportedly signed over the winter.
This new contract will establish the longest single tenure of Dustin’s career with one promotion, keeping the 56-year-old with AEW until at least 2030 and taking his career into its fifth decade.
His new role with the company will see him work as a consultant, coach, and ambassador, in addition to his role as an occasional in-ring performer. Rhodes is currently one-half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with Sammy Guevara, and they are scheduled to defend their titles tonight at the ROH Supercard of Honor event in Arlington, Texas.
