This past Saturday’s AEW All In: Texas event ran for six hours, not including the Zero Hour pre-show, making it the longest-running wrestling pay-per-view in history, surpassing the five-hour and twenty-minute runtime of WWE’s WrestleMania 35.
On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the extended length was a deliberate decision by AEW. The company reportedly chose to run head-to-head with WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC, timing their main event to start at the same time as the WWE broadcast began, as a direct response to WWE’s counter-programming efforts over the weekend.
