The post-match attack on Samoa Joe at AEW All In, where he was stretchered out after having his leg assaulted with a chair, was a storyline reason to write him off television.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the AEW Trios Champion was already scheduled to take time off following the pay-per-view. Joe will be doing promotional work for the upcoming second season of the Peacock series “Twisted Metal,” in which he plays the physical role of the character Sweet Tooth.
The new season of “Twisted Metal” is scheduled to be released on July 31. There is currently no official word on how long Joe will be absent from AEW programming.
