Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Paul Walter Hauser is officially stepping inside a Ring of Honor wrestling ring. In a new interview, AEW and ROH President Tony Khan confirmed that the Hollywood star, who is a lifelong, passionate wrestling fan, will be competing for ROH in the near future.
Paul Walter Hauser is Coming to Ring of Honor
Speaking with Robbie Fox on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, Tony Khan was asked about Paul Walter Hauser’s recent appearances on ROH programming. Khan confirmed that Hauser will not just be a guest commentator, but will be an active in-ring competitor for the promotion.
“Paul Walter Hauser, who has commentated in AEW and is going to be wrestling for us in Ring of Honor. He’s going to be wrestling for Ring of Honor and he’s a great commentator for us in AEW,” said Tony.
The confirmation comes after Hauser appeared on ROH TV several weeks ago and issued a challenge to the veteran wrestler and coach, QT Marshall. The challenge stems from an incident that occurred at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, where Marshall’s faction at the time got into a physical altercation with Hauser at ringside. Hauser is now looking for revenge, and it appears he will get it inside an ROH ring.
A Passion for Professional Wrestling
While many celebrities have dabbled in professional wrestling over the years, few have shown the genuine passion and respect for the business that Paul Walter Hauser has. He is a frequent presence at wrestling shows and has spoken at length in interviews about his deep love for the sport. This is not his first time stepping through the ropes, either.
