AEW’s Dustin Rhodes has provided an update as he prepares for double knee replacement surgery on August 21. On August 12, the 56-year-old shared a photo of his bandaged knees after undergoing a pre-operative procedure.
“Pre Op work being done on my knees today. Iovera shots in the nerves hurts like a bitch. But now my knees feel no pain at the moment. Can’t wait for August 21st to get here. Tired of this pain.”
In the same post, he added that a separate wound on his leg is almost fully healed. Rhodes was written off television after losing the TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher in a brutal Chicago Street Fight, but confirmed that the need for surgery is legitimate. He has stated that this is not the end of his in-ring career.
