AEW star Samoa Joe is set to wrestle his first independent match in a decade. Arizona-based promotion IZW has announced that Joe will compete at their “Long Live The King” event on November 8, where he will face Navajo Warrior.
The match is being billed as Navajo Warrior’s official retirement match. Warrior has been wrestling since the early 1990s and also appeared on WWF television as Shawn Dakota. This will be Samoa Joe’s first independent wrestling match since he competed for PWE in Scotland in August 2015, just before he officially signed with WWE NXT.
