Dustin Rhodes Provides Two-Week Update On Double Knee Replacement Recovery

AEW

AEW veteran Dustin Rhodes has provided a new update on his recovery, two weeks after undergoing successful double knee replacement surgery on August 21. The 56-year-old star has been chronicling his journey for fans on social media, and his latest post reflects on the severity of his condition before the major procedure. The former TNT Champion has been a workhorse for All Elite Wrestling, competing in many physically demanding matches, including a brutal Chicago Street Fight against Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Championship in his last bout before the surgery. His ability to perform at a high level for so long is a testament to his toughness.

In his social media post, Rhodes shared his thoughts on his condition and his mindset for the long rehabilitation process ahead.

“Today marks 2 wks since surgery. Don’t really know how I was doing it these last 5 yrs. Knees were destroyed. Dressing off finally. I look forward to a slow and methodical rehab. Slow and steady. Thank yall for all of your support and prayers. God has it under control. ❤️ #KeepSteppin #DoubleKneeReplacements”

Rhodes has previously stated that he has over two years remaining on his AEW contract and that this surgery is not the end of his in-ring career. He has also vowed a “Final Reckoning” for Kyle Fletcher, who was the storyline cause of his injury.
