AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher has his sights set on making history. On the September 6 episode of AEW Collision, “The Protostar” issued a direct challenge to the new AEW World Champion, “Hangman” Adam Page, for a championship match at the upcoming AEW All Out pay-per-view in Toronto on September 20.
Fletcher, who has been on a dominant run as the TNT Champion, is looking to become the first man in AEW history to hold both the TNT and World Championships simultaneously. The challenge adds another major title match to what is shaping up to be a loaded card for the Toronto event.
In his promo, Fletcher was confident and dismissive of the new champion, referencing Page’s past failures on the big stage. He pointed out that All Out was the site of Hangman’s first-ever AEW World Championship opportunity, a match that he lost. Fletcher also made it clear that with top stars like Swerve Strickland, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega currently on the sidelines with injuries, he is the one who is ready and willing to step up and carry the company on his back.
The challenge was a bold statement from the young star, who is looking to solidify his place at the very top of the All Elite Wrestling roster by capturing its most prestigious prize.
