The viewership numbers for the special three-hour “September to Remember” episode of AEW Dynamite on September 17 have been reported by Wrestlenomics. The show, which took place from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, averaged 602,000 viewers across its three-hour runtime on TBS. This number is an increase from the 584,000 viewers that the regular two-hour episode of AEW Dynamite drew on the previous week, indicating that the special event format was a success in attracting a larger audience. The show was a pivotal one on the road to the All Out pay-per-view, featuring the final qualifying match for the AEW Unified Championship three-way match.
In the key 18-49 demographic, the three-hour block scored an average 0.13 rating, which was also up from the 0.12 rating of the previous week’s two-hour show. The broadcast was broken down into two parts for ratings purposes. The first two hours, which were branded as AEW Dynamite, drew an impressive 668,000 viewers and a 0.14 demo rating. The final hour, which was branded as a special episode of AEW Collision, drew 536,000 viewers and a 0.12 demo rating. The retention of a large portion of the audience for the third hour is a positive sign for the company. These numbers do not include the viewership from the simulcast on the Max streaming service.
