Ricochet Takes Shots At WWE And ESPN Following WrestlePalooza

WWE

AEW star Ricochet took to social media to share some critical thoughts on WWE and its new broadcast partner, ESPN, following the inaugural WrestlePalooza Premium Live Event this past Saturday. The event, which was the first WWE PLE to air on ESPN’s new streaming platform, took place on the same day as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, and Ricochet, who was a top star in WWE before joining AEW, clearly feels that his new home put on the superior show. His comments are a direct shot in the ongoing “wrestling war” between the two promotions, which has intensified in 2025 with a series of head-to-head scheduling conflicts.

Ricochet first questioned the logic of a pre-determined sports entertainment show airing on a major sports network.

“Also what’s funny to me is how a show where they have said over over that they aren’t a “real sport” and its more of a TV show about the wrestling company. But they are on ESPN a SPORTS TV channel? Make it make sense. Lol”

He then took aim at a review of the WWE show written by an ESPN reporter, who gave the event a “C” grade.

“I know our show was way better than a C. #Ahaa”
