Bishop Dyer, a prominent figure in the independent wrestling scene, recently shared his highly positive impressions of the AEW All Out pay-per-view, singling out two matches as potential “match of the weekend” contenders. Speaking on a recent recap show on Busted Open Radio, Dyer revealed that he was particularly impressed by the AEW World Championship match between “Hangman” Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher, as well as the brutal Tables ‘n’ Thumbtacks No Disqualification match between MJF and Mark Briscoe. His comments provide a valuable perspective from someone outside of the AEW locker room, highlighting the matches that resonated most with an experienced wrestling observer.
Dyer admitted that he was torn between the two major encounters when picking the best match of the night.
“I’m torn, because I think [Page vs. Fletcher] could be [the] match of the weekend, But I also really liked the MJF Tables ‘n’ Tacks match with [Mark] Briscoe.”
He also had high praise for MJF’s performance in the violent stipulation match, noting the former AEW World Champion’s ability to convey emotion.
“They’re standing in the tacks and they’re getting ready to do the bodyslam. I thought they really built the suspense, especially for MJF to take [his] first bump into the tacks, and you heard the reaction [to] it. Briscoe had already gone down in it two or three time, but when MJF finally took that bump and he sits up, I [thought], ‘He has some of the best facial expressions in the business.’”
