AEW World Trios Champion Samoa Joe recently reflected on his illustrious career, which has seen him capture numerous championships across TNA Wrestling, WWE, Ring of Honor, and All Elite Wrestling. The veteran powerhouse, who is currently one-third of The Opps faction alongside Katsuyori Shibata and Powerhouse Hobbs, was asked about his favorite title reigns during an appearance on The F Y’all Podcast with C.T. Fletcher. His comments provide a fascinating insight into the different periods of his career and the personal significance of each championship run, highlighting the unique experiences he had in each promotion.
Joe singled out three specific championship reigns as his favorites, starting with his most recent one in All Elite Wrestling.
“You know, I enjoyed the AEW [world title] reign. It was a lot of fun, so I’d probably say that one, just because recently I got to work with the people I worked with and had the time that I had. It was pretty cool.”
He then went back in time to highlight his historic run as the Ring of Honor World Champion, a title he famously held for nearly two years from 2002 to 2004, which is still regarded as one of the most dominant reigns in independent wrestling history.
“But, you know, other than that, I always loved my ROH title reign. I think probably after that, maybe my NXT reign.”
