TNA Wrestling star Steve Maclin has shared his thoughts on the upcoming “invasion” storyline between TNA and NXT, stating that while he is happy to compete, his ultimate focus remains on reclaiming the TNA International Championship. Next week’s NXT episode is set to feature a special Survivor Series-style elimination match, pitting representatives from both brands against each other in what promises to be a chaotic and high-stakes encounter. Maclin’s comments provide a look into the mindset of a professional wrestler who is navigating a major cross-promotional storyline while still maintaining his personal goals.
Speaking in an interview with Sports Jedi Network, Maclin expressed his feelings about the potential of being involved in the highly anticipated event.
“So just to be there and back in the Performance Center where all those failed athletes tend to train now, felt really good to be back there and see a lot of familiar faces. And if I am involved with the Invasion angle, so be it. If I’m not picked, it’s okay. It’s not going to hurt my feelings. If I’m not, I get it. Santino has his favorites. TNA has their favorites at times.”
Despite the excitement surrounding the invasion, Maclin made it clear that his personal ambition is to regain his championship.
“But for me, I stick to what my goal is, and that’s getting back my TNA International Championship, and that’s Bound For Glory.”
Maclin lost the TNA International Championship to Frankie Kazarian at the TNA Victory Road special event.
