Samoa Joe Believes Powerhouse Hobbs Is On The Verge Of Becoming A Top Star

AEW

AEW World Trios Champion Samoa Joe has offered high praise for his Opps stablemate, Powerhouse Hobbs, predicting that big things are in store for the powerful and charismatic wrestler. Joe, who has been a top star in every major wrestling promotion he has competed in, sees immense potential in Hobbs and believes he is on the verge of breaking out and becoming a major player in All Elite Wrestling. His comments highlight the belief that many within the company have in Hobbs, and they suggest that a major push could be on the horizon for the former TNT Champion.

Speaking on The F Y’all Podcast, Joe discussed Hobbs’s recent growth and his ability to connect with the audience.

“I think the leash is coming off him right now. That was kind of the whole emphasis of him being a part of this group. We’re making sure Willie Hobbs is on TV every week and doing what he does out there. I mean, the sky is beyond the limit for Hobbs. Listen, I’m excited for his future. I think he’s only beginning to scratch the surface as far as the potential, what he’s able to do. But right now, like I said, you’re seeing the crowd’s reacting to him. It’s just been a long career for him. He’s been putting in the work, and now it’s starting to pay off for him in a big way. It’s only going to pay off more here in the near future.”

Joe, Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata are the current AEW World Trios Champions, having formed a dominant faction that has been a major force in the trios division.
