Former AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm has made her intentions clear: she wants a one-on-one rematch for the championship she lost at the All Out pay-per-view. On the September 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Storm was victorious in a singles match against Tay Melo. Following her win, the “Timeless” one took to the microphone to deliver a direct and passionate challenge to the new champion, Kris Statlander. The challenge sets the stage for a major championship encounter between the two top stars of the AEW women’s division and adds a new chapter to their developing rivalry.
At the All Out pay-per-view on September 20, Kris Statlander won the AEW Women’s World Championship in a fatal four-way match that also included Storm, the returning Jamie Hayter, and Thekla. Because she was not pinned or submitted in that match, Storm feels she is owed a direct, one-on-one opportunity to reclaim her championship. In her promo on Dynamite, she stated that she was not done with Statlander and that the new champion could name the time and the place for their rematch. As of now, AEW has not yet officially confirmed when or where the championship match will take place, but the challenge has been laid down, and fans will be eagerly awaiting Statlander’s response.
