The card for AEW WrestleDream is continuing to take shape, with two new matches officially announced for the pay-per-view and two additional bouts set for the “Tailgate Brawl” pre-show. The event, which takes place next Saturday, October 18, in St. Louis, Missouri, is building into a loaded card with multiple championship matches and intense personal rivalries. The new additions round out a night that promises to be packed with action and significant storyline developments, as the company enters a crucial period of its fall programming.
During AEW Collision, it was announced that the new faction known as The Demand (Ricochet & The Gates of Agony) will face The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) in a Trios Match. This bout is the culmination of a heated feud that has been building for weeks, stemming from Ricochet and The Gates of Agony costing The Hurt Syndicate the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door. Thekla will also go one-on-one with Jamie Hayter in a grudge match. The two have been at odds since Thekla attacked an injured Hayter during her AEW debut in May, and their rivalry has escalated since Hayter’s return.
