NJPW To Return To The United States In February 2026

New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced its first NJPW Strong event for 2026. During the King of Pro-Wrestling broadcast on Monday morning, it was revealed that the promotion will be returning to the United States on February 27, 2026, for an event titled “New Beginning USA.” The show is scheduled to take place at the Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. This announcement marks the first scheduled standalone US event for the company in nine months and signals a potential renewed focus on the American market in the new year, which will be welcome news for NJPW’s dedicated stateside fanbase.

This will be the first NJPW Strong-branded event since the Resurgence pay-per-view, which took place in May of this year in Ontario, California. The company has notably scaled back its presence in the United States in 2025, running only three events so far, a significant decrease from the six shows they ran in 2024 and the eight in 2023. Despite the reduced number of dedicated STRONG events, the brand’s championships have remained active, with the titles being defended in other promotions such as CMLL. The “New Beginning USA” event shows that NJPW is committed to continuing its presence in the American market as it heads into a new year.
