Samoa Joe On Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin: “You Don’t Want To Get That Five O’Clock Meal In You”

AEW

AEW World Trios Champion Samoa Joe has offered some sage, if unsettling, advice to fans who are planning to watch the upcoming “I Quit” match between Darby Allin and Jon Moxley at the WrestleDream pay-per-view. The “Samoan Submission Machine,” who is no stranger to violent encounters himself, believes that the match between the two blood rivals is going to be so brutal and graphic that fans should probably eat a late dinner after the show, rather than before. His comments highlight the extreme level of violence that is expected when two of AEW’s most fearless and reckless competitors collide in a match with no rules and no pinfalls.

During a recent interview with STL Sports Central, Joe was asked for his thoughts on the highly anticipated encounter.

“I think you should get like a late dinner. Yeah, you know, like a little post-show. I mean, we’ll be. Yeah, I think a late dinner is just a better idea for that day in particular. You don’t want to get that five o’clock meal in you because that’s not going to be really good, come around showtime because it’s probably going to be rough. I mean, let’s just be honest. You know, those guys, those guys are not really good at avoiding stuff. You know, they get hit a lot. You know, it’s it’s a lot it’s a lot of goo everywhere. So, we we’ll see we’ll see how that goes. Man, it might be rough.”

He also discussed the “I Quit” stipulation and stated that he himself would never say those words in a match.

“Potentially, I, you know, I don’t think I ever would. You know, if I ever have, I probably, you know, it might not even have been me that night. You know, AI is crazy these days. As for these guys, you’re right. It’s going to be tough to get either one of these people to say, ‘I quit.’ It was tough enough to learn how to teach them how to say those words in the first place. But, I mean, now to get them to actually say that somewhat legibly in a fashion that would actually save themselves. I mean, it’s going to be a rough night for either one of them.”
