A new championship match has been made official for the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Premium Live Event. WWE announced on SmackDown that Tiffany Stratton will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against the “Fallen Goddess,” Jade Cargill. The event takes place on Saturday, November 1, from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will air live on Peacock.
The match was made following Cargill’s shocking and brutal heel turn on last week’s episode of SmackDown. After saving Stratton from a 2-on-1 attack, Cargill viciously assaulted the champion, stomping her leg on the steel steps and declaring that “patience is not rewarded, power is.” Now, just weeks after her turn, Cargill has been granted the title shot she coveted.
This championship bout joins a card that is already loaded with main event matches. The show will see a new World Heavyweight Champion crowned when CM Punk faces Jey Uso, and the Undisputed WWE Championship will be on the line as Cody Rhodes defends against Drew McIntyre.
The updated card for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is below:
- Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
- World Heavyweight Championship Match: CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
- WWE Women’s Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill
