WWE is reportedly planning a massive weekend of events for the 2026 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, which is scheduled to take place in Chicago, Illinois. According to a new report from PWInsider Elite, the company is not just planning a one-off show but a full-fledged “Elimination Chamber Weekend,” similar in scale to their other “big four” events. This move would make the February PLE one of the most significant destination events of the year for the company and would be the first Elimination Chamber held in the United States in five years.
The report from PWInsider suggests that in addition to the Elimination Chamber event on Saturday, February 28, 2026, WWE is also planning to hold Friday Night SmackDown in Chicago on February 27. Furthermore, the company is reportedly planning to host both an NXT special and a Lucha Libre AAA crossover show in the city during that same weekend, creating a four-show spectacle for fans in the Chicago area. This “WrestleMania-lite” approach aligns with TKO’s new strategy of creating massive, city-wide events that attract traveling fans from all over the world.
While WWE has not yet officially announced the date or venue for the event, the Allstate Arena in Rosemont is the typical home for major WWE events in the Chicago area. This event will be the first US-based Premium Live Event of 2026, as the Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on January 31.
