Killer Kross Responds To Claims That WWE Is Copying His Act

Former WWE star Killer Kross (fka Karrion Kross) has given a very diplomatic and classy response to the ongoing fan discussion comparing his and Scarlett’s act to the new presentation of Aleister Black and Zelina Vega. Since Black and Vega’s return to WWE programming with a darker, more mysterious look, many fans online have claimed it’s a “copy” of the aesthetic Kross and Scarlett used in NXT and on the main roster, with some saying Zelina is “cosplaying Scarlett.”

During a recent appearance on Konnan’s “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, Kross was asked about the comparisons. He stated that he avoids divisive subjects but is “very flattered” to still be a topic of conversation, especially since he is not currently on the “biggest show on the planet.”

“I try to keep it classy and not jump into the divisive subjects. I can’t tell people how to feel about what they’re seeing and what they want to say. If you’re not tone deaf and you’re paying attention to everyone in the world, people are f—ing tired of being told how to feel about what they see and hear. I don’t want to be that guy to tell people how they should feel about what they’re watching. I’m sick of it… I don’t want to be told what to think and see. So, I won’t do that because I’d be a hypocrite.”

Kross was clear that he holds no ill will toward the other performers, as it’s often not their decision.

“This is what I will say: Scarlett and I are very flattered that we are still a subject of conversation online and among wrestling fans… You never really know if that’s the performers doing that or if that is something they are being asked to do. I can’t throw shade.”

Kross and Scarlett became free agents after their WWE contracts expired on August 10 and have since returned to the independent circuit.
