In the new, just-released book This Book Is All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling, AEW President Tony Khan reflects on one of the company’s most successful and acclaimed storylines: the friendship and feud between Adam Cole and MJF. The “Better Than You BayBay” saga, which dominated 2023, saw the two start as reluctant tag team partners, become best friends, and ultimately implode in the dramatic, year-long “The Devil” storyline.
In an excerpt from the book, Khan praised the duo’s on-screen chemistry and their ability to captivate a global audience.
“I think pro wrestling, at its best, can be about all different kinds of rivalries and relationships, friendships and grudges. The charisma of Adam Cole and MJF together as a team clicked so well, and the story of their friendship resonated with people all over the world and created some of the best AEW TV ever.”
The new book, written by Keith Elliot Greenberg, features exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and interviews, detailing the key turning points and stories from AEW’s six-year history.
