A new report has provided an update on the status of Saraya (formerly known as Paige in WWE), whose All Elite Wrestling contract expired earlier this year. According to the report, while there have been no known communications between Saraya and WWE about a return, the former Divas Champion is reportedly “open to the idea” of one day coming back to the company.
The most significant hurdle for any potential return would be WWE’s medical staff. Saraya was not medically cleared to compete when she originally left the company in 2022 due to severe neck injuries. Although she was later cleared by her own doctors and made an in-ring comeback in AEW, it is unknown if WWE’s doctors would grant her the same clearance.
The report also noted that when Saraya initially departed WWE, Triple H wanted her to remain with the company, and WWE made efforts to keep her.
Saraya, who has since launched her own podcast, Rulebreakers, and is releasing a memoir in 2026, addressed the constant rumors of a “mystery” return in a June interview with the Orlando Sentinel.
“I haven’t had a conversation with them. I know, I always get tagged in everything, as soon as there’s a mystery going around, they’re like, ‘Hey, she’s coming back.’ But no. I love the WWE, but no. It feels good to take a little break from wrestling and then see the outpouring of love from people saying they want me back.”
