The drama surrounding Andrade El Idolo’s career has continued, as the star reportedly walked out of The Crash! XIV Anniversary event in Mexico last Friday. According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Andrade, who was billed as the “main attraction” for the show, was present and signing autographs but left the venue before the event concluded.
Meltzer stated, “Andrade was on the show, probably the main attraction on the show. He was there signing autographs, and then he left. The only thing that we heard was that he was unhappy, so I don’t know what the story is.”
This incident is the latest in a chaotic chapter for the luchador. Andrade was fired by WWE in September but returned to AEW on October 1, only to be pulled from television after WWE sent a cease-and-desist, citing a one-year “with cause” non-compete clause. That clause reportedly only applies to the United States, leaving Andrade free to work in other countries like Mexico, which he had done for The Crash last month.
