The return of MJF to AEW television may be happening “soon-ish,” according to a new report from Fightful Select. The former AEW World Champion has been off programming since his loss to Mark Briscoe at All Out in September, a break that allowed him to film roles in Happy Gilmore 2 and, more recently, Violent Night 2.
The report states that filming on Violent Night 2 is “set to wrap… in short order.” Sources also indicate that MJF has “the acting bug” and has “really enjoyed” his time acting, with plans to continue balancing both careers.
While a specific date for his return has not been set, Fightful notes that MJF is “factored into AEW’s plans for December,” though the extent of his appearances is not yet known. His first confirmed post-hiatus appearance will be at the WrestleCade convention, which takes place from November 28-30.
