Will Ospreay Unlikely To Be In 2026 Owen Hart Cup Tournament

AEW

According to a report from the Fightful Select Answers Q&A, it is unlikely that Will Ospreay will compete in the 2026 Owen Hart Cup tournament. Ospreay is currently sidelined with herniated discs in his neck and is expected to be out for the rest of 2025 after undergoing surgery.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful speculated that AEW would likely not adjust the tournament’s schedule to accommodate Ospreay’s return window. Furthermore, Sapp expressed doubt that booking Ospreay in a grueling tournament immediately following his return from a serious neck injury would be a good idea. As of the report, no plans have been heard for Ospreay to be involved in the 2026 tournament. This year’s tournament finals, which saw “Hangman” Page and Mercedes Moné win their respective brackets, were held at AEW Double or Nothing in May 2025.
