AEW star Wheeler Yuta has reflected on his experience in the brutal “Blood & Guts” match on last week’s Dynamite. This marked Yuta’s third appearance in the match type (2022, 2023, 2025).
Speaking to Undisputed, Yuta described a moment of clarity amidst the violence.
“As crazy as the surroundings were, I remember thinking to myself, ‘This is the place I should be right now.’ That Blood and Guts cage, it felt like where I belong.”
He also admitted to being terrified during his first experience with the structure.
“The first year I was in Blood & Guts… When I got up to the top, I stayed there for like another 20 minutes because I was too scared to climb back down. It was pretty terrifying. Climbing that cage wasn’t easy.”
Despite his faction, The Death Riders, losing the match to Darby Allin and The Conglomeration, Yuta promised they would “bounce back” and force everyone else to “step up their game.”
