A prominent figure in AEW’s women’s tag team division may be nearing a career crossroads. According to a report from Fightful Select, Anna Jay’s current AEW contract is believed to expire within the next few months. This adds her to a growing list of talents with deals coming due as the company reshapes its roster for 2025.
While there is no confirmation that formal extension talks have begun, sources suggest that AEW is expected to make an effort to retain her. Jay is viewed internally as a performer with “significant potential” and a reliable television presence.
However, the report also notes that Jay is open to “doing what’s right for her career,” which includes assessing free agency if she reaches that stage. Jay is currently in a popular tag team with Tay Melo (“TayJay”), and the two share a close bond. They were recently eliminated from the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament.
