Is AEW Cutting Back On Pay-Per-Views?

AEW President Tony Khan has indicated that the company could reduce its number of pay-per-view events in 2026. Speaking on the Full Gear media call, Khan revealed that he does not believe the Wrestle Dynasty event will return next year.

While the crossover event with NJPW, CMLL, and Stardom was successful in 2025, Khan noted that for now, NJPW is focusing on the massive Wrestle Kingdom 20 event in January.
