WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has issued a statement to clarify his controversial remarks regarding the death of Hulk Hogan. On a recent podcast, Flair claimed that “street drugs” killed Hogan after doctors stopped prescribing him pain medication.
In a post on Twitter, Flair apologized if his statement was misunderstood but maintained he was repeating facts he learned from family members.
“I Only Was Repeating What I Know To Be A Fact Through Family Members… A Doctor As I Know Can Only Prescribe So Much Pain Medication Under Medical Guidelines. I’ve Been Told That All They Did Was To Help Him Not To Hurt Him… This Was Not An Attempt To Demean Hulk Hogan Or His Legacy… I Apologize If People Misunderstood My Statement.”
