The identity of the masked mystery man who interfered in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series has reportedly been revealed. During the chaotic main event, a figure dressed in all black and a hood entered the cage and stomped CM Punk. This interference allowed Bron Breakker to hit a spear on Punk and secure the victory for The Vision’s team.
While the commentary team speculated that the attacker might be the injured Seth Rollins, noting his resemblance and Paul Heyman’s history of surprise plans, multiple sources have confirmed to wrestling media that the person under the mask was Austin Theory.
Theory, who has been off television recently due to an injury, was reportedly backstage at the event, and the interference was always part of the plan. Early creative discussions from the summer had suggested Theory would join The Vision faction, and despite those initial plans changing, it appears WWE is moving forward with integrating him into the stable.
When asked about the attacker during the post-show press conference, Paul Heyman deflected the question and refused to reveal the mystery man’s identity.
