Rhea Ripley On Recruiting AJ Lee For WarGames: “I Wanted That Scrappy Fight”

WWE

WWE star Rhea Ripley has spoken out for the first time about Liv Morgan’s shocking return at Survivor Series: WarGames. Morgan reappeared to help Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship, a move that left fans—and even Ripley—stunned.

In an interview with SportsCenter, Ripley described her reaction to the moment.

“It was wild… I was kind of just like watching it in awe and kind of like a fan. I was like, ‘Is this real? Is this actually happening? Like, what is happening?’ And then Liv obviously slapped Dom and I was like, ‘Maybe she’s seen everything that he’s been doing with Roxanne and The Judgment Day. But then once she changed her face expression, I knew it was over for John Cena… Because I know how tactical Liv and Dom can be and how slimy they are.”

Ripley also discussed her own WarGames match, noting that she and Charlotte Flair found common ground in their desire to win, despite their history. She credited Flair’s therapy and the support of their teammates (Alexa Bliss and IYO SKY) for helping them coexist. Ripley also mentioned a spot where she boosted AJ Lee to help IYO SKY perform a high-risk move with a trash can, showcasing their teamwork.
