Top SmackDown Star Returning

The “Samoan Werewolf” appears to be on the hunt again.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Jacob Fatu is close to returning to WWE television following a dental procedure. Sources indicate that Fatu is expected to resume traveling “within the next few weeks,” as his recovery is nearly complete.

Fatu has been off television since the October 17 episode of SmackDown, where he was written off via a backstage assault involving a collapsing production rig. This angle was done to cover for his legitimate need for dental surgery.

Fatu had a dominant start to 2025, capturing the United States Championship at WrestleMania 41. However, he lost the title to Solo Sikoa at Night of Champions earlier this year. His imminent return adds another dangerous element to the SmackDown roster as the company builds toward the Royal Rumble.
