Is Dominik Mysterio the greatest of all time? If you ask him, the answer is a resounding “yes.”
At Survivor Series 2025 in San Diego, Dominik Mysterio defeated John Cena to capture the Intercontinental Championship. The victory was not without controversy, as the returning Liv Morgan assisted “Dirty” Dom in securing the win. Speaking at the post-show press conference, Mysterio used “logic” to explain why beating Cena places him above everyone else in history.
“John Cena has beaten absolutely everybody, am I correct? You name them, Cena’s beaten them. Now, I’ve beaten John Cena. By logic, I’ve also beaten everybody. Greatest of all time? You’re looking at him,” Mysterio said.
The new champion also took a dig at Cena’s age, suggesting fans only cheer for him out of pity.
“At the end of the day, the fans feel sympathetic towards the elderly, so when they see John come out, they can’t believe someone was able to check him out of his home and bring him to the arenas safely without breaking any bones,” he added. “Every time they see John Cena, they’re like, wow, we don’t know if this is gonna be the last time because, you know, at 75 years old, at any point in time, he could just, you know.”
Mysterio’s victory marks a significant shift in the Intercontinental title picture. While Cena moves toward his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Mysterio is expected to defend his newly won title on upcoming episodes of RAW. Cena’s loss at Survivor Series was his second high-profile defeat in recent months, following a loss to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Paris in September.
