Reason Behind TNA’s Recent Production Silence

TNA Wrestling’s recent quiet period was a strategic move.

Following the Bound For Glory pay-per-view in October, the company went through an extended silence regarding television tapings. Fightful Select reports that this pause was directly tied to the finalization of their new media rights deal with AMC Networks.

The budgeting and operational pause allowed the company to close the deal, which had been in the works since the spring. A small group of executives handled the negotiations with strict secrecy until the official briefing on Tuesday morning.

Now that the deal is public, production is set to resume full force for the Thursday Night iMPACT! launch on January 15, 2026. The move to AMC is viewed internally as a significant step toward broader visibility for the promotion.
