Darby Allin has been medically disqualified from the Continental Classic.
AEW announced on Collision that the former TNT Champion cannot continue in the tournament due to injuries sustained during his opening round match against Kevin Knight ten days ago. While the specific nature of the injuries was not disclosed, they were severe enough to require hospitalization.
Allin’s replacement is “Jungle” Jack Perry, who is taking a break from his Jurassic Express duties to return to singles competition for the first time since November 2024. Perry enters the Gold League at a disadvantage due to the late start. He joins a field that includes Kevin Knight, Kazuchika Okada, PAC, Kyle Fletcher, and Mike Bailey.
This move follows a recent foreshadowing moment where Perry and Okada engaged in a stare-down.
