John Cena doesn’t believe his recent loss to Brock Lesnar was as short as fans might think.
At Wrestlepalooza 2025, The Beast Incarnate defeated Cena in a bout that many viewers felt was surprisingly brief. When asked about the length of the match during a recent interview, Cena offered a different viewpoint.
“Well, I guess quick is perspective, because my frame didn’t feel like it was,” Cena said.
Cena also took time to praise Lesnar’s physical condition. Despite Lesnar suffering from two notable botches on television this year—including slipping on pyro—Cena remains in awe of his athleticism.
“You have this guy who’s returning, who absolutely looks like he hasn’t aged a day, moves like it. He can split his pants and still move like a ballerina, slip on his Pyro and do a ninja roll and be okay. He’s a beast,” Cena stated.
The match marked another chapter in their storied rivalry, with Cena noting he is often “in the seat” when Lesnar makes a major return.
