Travis Scott was seemingly poised for a major WWE run earlier this year, but it fell apart before it could truly begin.
At Elimination Chamber, Scott appeared alongside The Rock during John Cena’s shocking heel turn, leading fans to believe he would be a fixture in the storyline. However, he quietly disappeared from programming. Speaking on IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul revealed that Scott was originally scheduled for a six-man tag team match but backed out.
“It was planned to be a three-on-three match. But on the day it was supposed to be announced, he didn’t show up,” Paul said. “My guess is he realized how physically demanding wrestling really is… It’s probably too much for someone who’s a rock star at his level.”
Paul Heyman also confirmed the dissolved partnership, stating, “The whole deal with Travis Scott fell apart.”
The fallout from the failed partnership extended beyond the ring. Following the collapse of the deal, 2K Games reportedly removed Travis Scott from the downloadable content (DLC) lineup for WWE 2K25, replacing his character model with other legends and actively scrubbing his presence from the game’s marketing materials.
