Despite heavy speculation, it appears unlikely that Vince McMahon will make an appearance at John Cena’s final wrestling match.
Cena’s career will conclude tomorrow night at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and given the historic nature of the show and Cena’s close relationship with the former Chairman, rumors of a McMahon cameo have circulated. However, Fightful Select reports that no sources they have spoken to have been briefed on any official appearance by McMahon.
While it is possible McMahon could attend the event privately and remain off-camera, there is no confirmation on whether that will happen or if internal staff would even be notified.
McMahon has been completely absent from WWE operations and backstage environments since resigning from TKO and WWE in January 2024. His resignation followed a lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, alleging sex trafficking, sexual assault, and abuse. McMahon has denied the allegations, and the lawsuit remains ongoing.
