The Hurt Syndicate has suffered a major blow.
On AEW Collision: Winter is Coming, MVP announced that Bobby Lashley is currently sidelined with an injury. According to an update from Fightful Select, the injury is legitimate, and while specific details regarding the nature of the issue remain private, sources indicate that Lashley is expected to miss “quite a bit of time.”
Lashley’s last in-ring appearance occurred at AEW Full Gear 2025 last month, where he competed in the Casino Gauntlet match to crown the inaugural AEW National Champion—a bout won by Ricochet.
Lashley made his AEW debut in October 2024, reuniting with MVP and Shelton Benjamin to form The Hurt Syndicate. He and Benjamin found quick success, capturing the AEW World Tag Team Championships in January and holding them for a dominant 214-day reign before losing the titles to Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) at Forbidden Door in London.
Despite Lashley’s absence, The Hurt Syndicate remains active. Shelton Benjamin is scheduled to compete in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal next week at Holiday Bash. The field for that match also includes Ricochet, Mark Davis, Brody King, Anthony Bowens, and Max Caster.
