Kevin Nash isn’t letting Nick Khan’s comments about Rey Mysterio slide.
The WWE President recently appeared on IMPAULSIVE, where he claimed that Mysterio was considered “a nothing” during his time in WCW before WWE made him a star. Nash, a key figure in WCW booking during that era, took exception to the remark on his Kliq This podcast.
“Was he considered a ‘nothing’ in WCW? I disagree. Because, I mean—f******, he beat me. So what are you saying, Nick?” Nash argued.
Nash explained that WCW saw immense value in Mysterio as a crossover star and a merchandise mover, even if they unmasked him. He also questioned Khan’s logic, pointing out that WWE has had Mysterio for 25 years and is now profiting massively from him in a different media landscape.
“You’ve got a $5 billion Netflix deal… He means more now? Really? There’s more eyes on him now? God. That Nick’s a crafty f****** guy,” Nash added.
