Mark Henry has revealed the details behind a bar altercation that once landed him in a UK jail cell.
Appearing on The Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer recounted an incident where he was approached by a fan while having drinks with Sheamus’s family. According to Henry, the man approached him with a Sharpie to tap him on the shoulder, unaware that the lid was off.
“I look, and I can see the ink soaking right into my silk. It’s a dish rag now. A $300 shirt, gone. I was like, ‘Why’d you do that, man?’ I was p***** off,” Henry recalled.
When the man responded by telling Henry he didn’t “have to be an a******,” the World’s Strongest Man escalated the situation.
“I had just bought Sheamus’ mom and aunt a drink… I took both drinks and threw them in his face. I told you, I have regrets.”
The incident resulted in Henry being arrested and placed in general lockup.
“Yeah, I went to jail. They put me in general lockup with all the vagrants. They took my belt, my shoelaces, and all my stuff,” he added.
