AEW is giving wrestling fans a massive gift on Christmas night with a special Thursday edition of Collision loaded with tournament action.
Announced during the Holiday Bash, the Christmas Collision special will feature six matches from the Continental Classic, serving as the final night of pool action before the finals at Worlds End. With the standings tight in both leagues, every match carries championship implications.
In the Blue League, Jon Moxley renews his rivalry with Orange Cassidy. Moxley, representing the Death Riders, has been on a tear, while Cassidy fights to stay in contention. In a stablemate clash, Moxley’s ally Claudio Castagnoli will face Roderick Strong. Castagnoli needs a win to keep pace with the leaders. Meanwhile, Konosuke Takeshita looks to cement his spot in the finals against Mascara Dorada. It is worth noting that Takeshita, Dorada, Cassidy, and Strong will all be wrestling on back-to-back nights, having competed on Dynamite just 24 hours prior.
In the Gold League, Kazuchika Okada looks to rebound from his upset loss to Kevin Knight when he takes on “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Kevin Knight, fresh off that massive win, faces “The Bastard” PAC. Finally, Jack Perry battles Kyle Fletcher in a match that could determine the final standings of the group.
Additionally, the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron), will be in non-title action against the team of Hyan and Maya World.
