Tony Khan Highlights Homegrown Stars And Free Agent Signings

Tony Khan believes 2025 was a banner year for women’s wrestling in AEW.

Speaking to TV Insider, the AEW President touted the division’s growth, citing milestones like the introduction of the Women’s Tag Team Championships and the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match.

“I think it’s the best women’s wrestling we’ve ever had,” Khan said. “I made it a focus for years to try to accumulate the best wrestlers in the world.”

Khan highlighted the mix of top-tier free agents like Mercedes Moné and “Timeless” Toni Storm alongside homegrown pillars like Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter.

“I’m so excited to have two AEW originals in a division where we’ve seen great free agents coming into compete at a top level,” Khan added, referencing the upcoming Worlds End title match between Statlander and Hayter.
